Description
POL 353 Race and Racism is a multidisciplinary team-taught course on race and racism in the United States. Modules within the course will explore the history of race and racism in U.S. politics; intersections between race, gender, and sexuality; race and cultural production; and race and the law. Particular attention will be paid to the recent #BlackLivesMatter and #SayHerName movements, the issue of police violence, and the history of U.S. protests and social movements. Each module will be taught by appropriate subject-matter experts. Prerequisite: ENG 102 “C-” or better
