    Description

    POL 352 POLITICAL MARKETING Political Marketing is an interdisciplinary course that introduces students to how candidates, parties, elected officials and governments utilize marketing concepts and tools to win elections and remain in office. Drawing on both traditional marketing research and political marketing research, this course will examine a wide range of political marketing topics including market research and segmentation, branding, marketing communication, and delivery management. Students will consider the application of marketing techniques not just by those seeking election, but also by elected officials and bureaucrats. The course also will consider the implications of political consumerism and political marketing and provide students with a modern, realistic understanding of how political marketing works in the 21st century. Prerequisites: MKT 216 or POL 150
