MCM 326 INTRODUCTION TO RADIOThis lecture/lab course focuses on principles andpractices of modern radio production. In the lectureportion of the course, radio history, technology,programming and formats are investigated. Radiocommercial structure, ratings and legal regulations ofthe Federal Communication Commission (FCC) arealso examined. For the lab portion of the course,exercises include audiotape editing, production of a60-second commercial or public service announcement(PSA), a five-minute radio feature, and a one-hour liveair shift.
