MCM 312 SPORTS MEDIAThis course investigates the phenomenon of sport inthe electronic media. Areas of interest include theproduction and distribution of radio and TV sportsprograms, advertising, endorsements, and contemporarysocial issues. Regulations, legal considerations andnew electronic media such as webcasting and enhancedTV are also examined. The role of the sportscaster,audience measurement techniques, historical andphilosophical perspectives constitute additional topicsof discussion.
