Description

STS 101 MICROCOMPUTER SOFTWARE LITERACY (1 UNIT) This is a tutorial-based course to develop basic user literacy and skills working with Microsoft Excel. The course covers beginning to advanced MS Excel features, including structured tables, complex functions, what-if analysis, pivot tables and more. The objective of the course is to dive deeper into the functionalities available in MS Excel so that students can fully understand the potential of this application, in order to operate effectively and professionally both in academic and corporate environments. This course is a general education requirement that students must satisfy via the exam. Students who do not pass the exam or prefer to earn the 1-unit credit can take the course. The test-out exam is determined by the faculty and administered by the university testing center. Students who test out will earn zero units but will satisfy the graduation requirement.
