Individual Directed Research courses are designed for particular topic.An IDR gives students the opportunity to conduct closely supervised research on a chosen topic and to write a substantial paper or report based on semester long study and analysis of the research question. Research plans must be discussed with a faculty member who specializes in that particular subject area and a full proposal and plan for completing the research must be approved by the Academic Dean and Registrar prior to registration in the course.
