Description
SMG 410 Sports Finance - This course serves as an introduction to the financial management of sports organizations and related entities (e.g., professional and intercollegiate sports franchises). It will explore how various sports organizations generate revenue and apply analysis in financial planning. Basic financial principles will be introduced and explored in the context of professional and intercollegiate sport. Topics such as team valuation, bankruptcy, financial statements, debt, budgeting, publicly traded franchises, and other related subjects will also be examined. Prerequisites: SMG 250; FIN 220.
