SMG 402 MARKETING AND ADVERTISINGIN THE SPORTS INDUSTRYT he application of marketing and advertising science to all realms of the sports industry are examined in thiscourse. This includes professional and semi-professionalsports, intercollegiate, interscholastic and intramural sport; amateur sport; and commercial and public sport and recreational facilities, clubs, resorts, and service organizations and the special nature and needs of sports organizations. A view of the international sports business and ethical issues in sports marketing and advertising are also investigated. Prerequisites: MKT 216 or SMG 300 or SMG 250. Cross-listed with MKT 402.
