SMG 308 S Special Topics: Sports Analytics - This course will center upon exploring, identifying, and solving practical problems in sport using data and relevant analysis. Students will be introduced to various tools in sport analytics, such as player evaluation, key performance indicators (KPI), balanced scorecard, and other techniques. The course will examine the application of sports analytics in a series of functional areas within the sport industry, such as talent and human resources, information technology, marketing, ticket sales, finance, legal, manufacturing, facility management, event management, along with fantasy sports. Prerequisites: SMG 250 or 300, MTH 251 "C-" or better
