Description

PSY 646 Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Sport - This course provides students with an overview of the historical and contemporary issues regarding diversity, equity and inclusion in sport and performance. In this course, students will participate in and facilitate conversations about diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom and with coaches and athletes. Students will learn about and engage in discussions on topics including but not limited to social class, ethnicity, race, gender, sexuality, and religion. The course will teach students to be aware of intersectional identities, and how concepts related to diversity, equity, and inclusion can impact performance and well-being. Prerequisites: PSY 500, PSY 575
