PSY 560 Advanced Theories in Sport and Performance Psychology - This course builds on the foundation of PSY 500 and provides an in-depth examination of the psychological theories and tenets relevant to sport and performance settings. Students will gain a greater understanding of the psychological mechanisms underlying psychological skills training and peak performance. The major theories of anxiety, motivation, goal-setting, burnout, leadership, and others, will be explored. Prerequisite: PSY 500 (or concurrent enrollment in PSY 500) or by Instructor approval
