MTH 090 ELEMENTARY ALGEBRA This course covers the following topics: properties of real numbers and basic algebraic operations, solving linear and absolute value equations and inequalities with applications; graphing linear functions and inequalities; equations of lines. Problem solving and practical applications will be stressed. Note : This is a 3-unit equivalent developmental course ? units do not count for graduation or grade point average but do count in establishing full-time status. Prerequisite: Score of 35 or less on AcuPlacer exam
