Description

LIT 150 INTRODUCTION TO LITERATURE This course introduces students to the serious study of literature. It includes sample works from the major genres that constitute literature: short story, poetry, drama, novel, and essay. As a survey course, it covers diverse cultures and historical periods. Reading imaginatively across boundaries of time, geography, history, culture and ideology, students learn what constitutes great literature as they gain insight into the human condition.
