HUM 302 Introduction to Wine Appreciation - This course is designed for the beginning wine enthusiast who wants to explore the world of wine and the art of wine tasting. We will journey through the major wine regions of the world discussing grape varietals along with the principals of wine production. Additional topics will cover proper methods of tasting, evaluating, and pairing wine with food. On the practical side, we will discuss service techniques, reading wine menus, and deciphering wine labels. Prerequisite: Must be 21 by the start of class. No previous knowledge needed. Course fee will be charged to student account $75. The fee is non-refundable once the class begins.
