HUM 300 EMPIRICAL RESEARCHMETHODS AND EVALUATIONThis course introduces Liberal Arts majors to empiricalmethodologies and evaluation techniques used in theliberal arts, especially in the social sciences.This willinvolve both qualitative and quantitative methods, witha particular emphasis on the use, evaluation and presentationof data.The broad themes of the course will beset by the Liberal Arts faculty, with students selectinga theme to research from within the faculty-selectedtheme. The theme will carry over into HUM 401.NOTE: This course is offered during the fall semester only.Enrollment is limited to Liberal Arts majors with a concentrationin Psychology and is to be taken during the fall semesterof their senior year.The course is to be taken sequentially withHUM 401.
