Description

FIN 439 FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS: The objective of this course is to present a thorough, detailed overview of the entire financial system in the United State (excluding banks) and its component parts, keeping in view the ever-increasing importance of globalization of our markets and institutions. Several of the financial institutions are critically analyzed, and wherever necessary and appropriate, we investigate in depth the evolution of these financial institutions. Banks are excluded since there is a separate course, Money and Banking, which looks at the operations of banks in detail.
