Description
ECO 200 MACROECONOMICS AND THE GLOBAL ECONOMY: This course is an examination of national income determinants in a global context and the institutional and historical context of these components. Participants explore the problems of economic growth, inflation and unemployment as well as banking and monetary influences on macro-variables; the role of transnational firms in national and international employment, investment and surplus generation; as well as balance of payments and concepts inclusive of transnational capital growth and its effect on world markets and development. Prerequisites: MTH 110 “C-” or better; or concurrent enrollment in MTH 110; ENG 102 “C-” or better or concurrent enrollment in ENG 102
